Some programming languages are preferred by data scientists over others. For example, Python is more common, while C ++ is much less common.
There was a situation in AIHub when we needed to find a rare specialist with a high level of C ++ proficiency and experience in image recognition.
Moreover, the specialist we were looking for needed to have scientific publications and even patents. The last condition is the customer's wish, and we believed that we could find the perfect Data Scientist.

When the sample of active LinkedIn users ran out, and Habr, GitHub and HeadHunter stopped giving results, we realized that my ideal candidate wasn't actively looking for a job and has been absent from social networks for a long time. It was time to start searching ... research! We literally began to look for studies that were in a similar field to this vacancy. And among the authors of scientific publications there was a considerable percentage of such specialists.

We had to do some sleuthing to find the contacts of these scientists in the public domain and to contact them. After some time (which seemed to me like an eternity), their replies began to appear in our inbox. We will not name any specific candidate, because the experience of communicating with all of them was an amazing adventure for us - from developing a search hypothesis to transferring candidates to the Customer. But we can say for sure - this story ended well for everyone..
